Murata Eye Clinic / Doremi Contact are a small company that is focused on the drug delivery system for the posterior segment eye disease. We are developing age-related and diabetic therapies for the preservation of vision and the prevention of neuro-degeneration. Our mission is to develop unique drug delivery system that greatly benefits eyes suffered serious diseases including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Masatoshi Murata M.D., Ph.D., is the President/CEO. Dr. Murata is the veterinary Ophthalmologist and is trained as a medicinal chemist. After a 2 year career at the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, Dr. Murata moved to Morioka city, Japan where he holds a faculty position as President of Murata Eye Clinic / Doremi Contact. He is internationally recognized as an expert of drug delivery system for the posterior segment eye disease. Mr. Hitoshi Yamasa is the Research coordinator, and has assisted Dr. Murata on his research projects. Ms. Haruka Yachi is Treasurer, and has assisted Dr. Murata on his research projects. Ms. Tomoko Segawa is the Corporation Secretary, and has assisted Dr. Murata on his research projects.

Implant Insertion System
We designed a simple procedure of intrachoroidal DEX implant insertion through the sclera in the disc-macular area.

Tube Insertion System
We have invented a simple procedure of a tube insertion through sclera for the intrachoroidal drug delivery in posterior eye segment. This procedure is helpful to increase drug level in disc-macula area, and to maintain effective retino-choroidal drug level by repeating the DEX injections.
